Jeannine Bardo’s passion is art and community. She created Stand as a curation project to connect artists with their communities by hosting shows in unusual local venues with the intent to inspire.
Jeannine received a lovely and moving e-mail from writer and friend, Nicole Fennimore in response to the Call To Artist for the upcoming Sheltered Past exhibition that read like the show’s essay. In the spirit of Stand, Jeannine realized Nicole’s words would be a beautiful and engaging contribution to the show and she asked Nicole to write the full essay for the exhibition.
When asked what she loves most about this project Jeannine says “The thing that makes me the happiest about Stand is that it is moving people to produce work.”
